Main features of socket elbow
Connection method: Socket welding is used. The end of the pipe is inserted into the socket inside the elbow, and then a circumferential fillet weld is made on the outside of the elbow. This connection ensures high sealing and strength.
Good sealing: The socket weld connection provides very good leakage protection, as the weld is located on the outside of the fitting, reducing the risk of internal media leakage.
High strength: The combination of forging process and socket weld connection makes the socket weld elbow with high mechanical strength, able to withstand medium and high pressure piping system.
Easy to install: Compared with butt-welded connections, socket welds require slightly less skill on the part of the installer and are easier to center, especially in small-diameter pipelines. Since the weld is on the outside, it is also easy to visually inspect.
Size range: Typically used for small diameter piping (typically less than or equal to DN50 or NPS 2), as the efficiency and cost advantages of socket weld connections are reduced in larger diameter piping.
Carbon Steel Socket Weld Pipe Fittings
Package of Socket Weld Fittings
We marked all Carbon Steel Socket Weld Pipe Fittings with Grade, Lot No, Size, Standard and Pressure Ratings. Our workers sleeved 90 Degree Elbow SW into plastic bag individually, put them into carbons and wooden cases, bundled wooden cases with nylon rope.
Clear labels are tagged on the outside of the package for easy identification of the quantity and product I.D. great care is taken during operation and transportation.
